It shouldn't do in the short term, the adhesive is fairly benign - but it will certainly leave a horrible gungy residue of adhesive after any length of time, and this is a pig to remove - especially if it's over any grilles, pads or buttons. Only spirit dissolves this, and that will almost certainly damage your plastic parts. Anything with a sticky backing is likely to do the same. I find gentle heat from a hair drier really helps to soften tape adhesive for tape lifting. Other tape adhesive can dry out and go crumbly (masking tape) leaving a dry, dusty 'stain' which is very difficult to remove. I don't recommend any adhesive things in the long term.
