I was down graded for a previous answer so will take the opposite track. There is rule book on proper dress - consult it. Whatever you do, dress as others want you to - not as you think right. To be safe invite him over for a predate tryout where he can tell you what to wear; every articale should be decided by him. You should succumb to his every wish as his opinion is the only one that counts.
