If you are on contract your network will almost definitely give you a replacement for free, they might even give you a newer model. If you are on pay as you go, it is unlikely but still worth a try.

Usually they will give you a replacement, but a lot of times you will have to pay a "replacement fee". My brother lost his phone and had to pay $50 to get it replaced. Hope this helps.
