  • You didn't identify the league the game was played in, but according to my understanding of the FIFA rules, he was wrong in this call. Every league is different. Check their rule book.
  • If the referee was of the opinion that the offside player was interfering with play in any way then he must give an indirect free kick for offside. The goal wouldn't count. However, if the offside player wasn't interfering with play then the referee got it wrong.
  • All leagues have the same rules. If the player was not interfering with play or didn't touch the ball then the ref was wrong
  • He was worng as long as the right wing didnt touch the ball it should have been a goal
