    I doubt it. Flying requires a lot more energy (fuel consumption) thus is expensive, requires more learning time (and is way more dangerous in the hands of an idiot), air traffic is harder to manage, etc...

    Maybe in a very distant future, if we can find a very economic fuel, and create aircraft that can safely fly and coordinate themselves.
