  • That might be correct given the premise. Problem is, I don't believe everything happens for a reason.
  • If one believes "everything happens for a reason", and if you define a "coincidence" as a random or chance event then the very premise of your question contains contrary terms. This gets to a question I have asked elsewhere on this site - can one believe in fate and free will or are they opposites? I believe if one takes the literal definition they are contrary terms. On the other hand some seem to think that you can believe your final fate is a lock but we can use our free will to get there by different routes. As to your question - not all things make a sense that the human mind can comprehend.
