Only in your case (Insert dumb blonde joke here.)
-
haha, well i believe love is blind. "Dumb" may be percieved as falling in love with peoples 'good side' and ingoring the flaws. Remember people only see what they want to see, and hear what they want to hear.
-
Lets just put it this way. It's easier to tell your friends that their boyfriend is a flake and help them follow through leaving, rather then listening to your friends tell you the same thing and wanting to help you follow through.
-
lol yes.:)
-
A lifetime of dumb.....
-
Deaf, blind AND dumb!
-
It certainly seems to impair the clear thinking of some people.
-
Yes. It certainly can. You get a bit blind to all their faults, forget their physical inadequacies and it can actually last a lifetime, thank God.
-
I would rather be dumb and in love....than a genius sitting in solitude.
-
Yes, though 'crazy' seems more accurate than mere 'dumb'.
-
it can make you blind to a lot of thigs which can come off as being dumb lol
-
Oh I agree with you 100%. Your perception of everything is warped.
-
Well, it made my father-in-law a total idiot for about four decades now, so I'd have to say YES!
-
its longer than temporary. its the length of the marriage and beyond.
-
Not just dumb, but blind and insane too. When gripped in the throes of Love, all other mental, emotional and physical traits are filtered, thereby altering all normal operating characteristics. Everything pales in comparison to Love's effects.
-
That might be why the word "infatuation" comes from the Latin "fatuus/a," meaning stupid. Yes, I can personally attest to love making you stupid. It may not happen that way all the time, but it does have the ability to make perfectly rational people do irrational things.
-
heck yeah!
-
I really think "falling in love" is a temporary form of mental illness. It's sort of like depression, except in this case the person feels happy, not sad. Still, the two emotions share one characteristic----both grapple with illusion, not reality.
-
No, not dumb but perhaps careless and maybe naive for a very short time. Although many times we can even see we are behaving this way we choose not to change and allow things to settle. I have heard way too many times the words I knew this was a mistake but I was hoping I was wrong.
-
I don't know that I'd necessarily call it dumb, but it can definately cloud your judgement.
-
Oh,yeah
-
yes, especially when you replace the "d" with an "n".
-
Yeppers, no doubt in my mind. I think that experts say that that the stupidity lasts for about 18 months, after which you can actually see the person for what they really are :-)
-
Yes. When you love someone, you are very smart. When you "fall in love" you are really "falling in lust" and lustful people are goofy all the time! :)
-
It can cloud decisions
-
I wouldn't use the word "dumb".
-
Yes, not just dumb but also selfish.
-
Influence of love , sometimes is so high,it can make a person more than a dumb!
-
It can make you permanently dumb.
-
Well, it certainly can make you blind to a person's faults. I'm reminded of the song "Wrapped" by George Strait.
-
ahhh no i wouldnt call i dumb.. id jus say that we begin to forget bout other things.. our interest and care in other things jus goes compeletely down... we become kind of careless..
-
Not dumb as such, maybe a little bit silly though :) +5
-
and stupid :)
-
Yes, definately, that's how my Aunt Sara and Grandma Roberta got taken in.
-
Yes, my friend had a girlfriend who was constantly negative. When they broke up, his friends told him. He was like "she was, I never noticed". We were seriously dumbfounded.
-
The temporary dumbness happens just after the orgasm and last for about 10 min. or until you fall asleep.
-
Mine seems to be a little more permanent.
