  • At the time they say them they probably mean it. But they probably dont understand at that point how much worse it can get. I've had pleanty of promises made to me and about 60% of them get broken. I dont see why wedding promises should see a different outcome.
  • I made my marriage vows in 1967 and I meant every word I said - I still do and I've had more than 40 years of better and worse.
  • This is a bit of a complicated question. In requires some acessment of the condition of our nation as a whole. In America, we love convienence. If it is not convienent, its simply not tolerated. Convience comes in the form of Microwave ovens, to the over use of cars, to Microwave popcorn. We have become a dispossable society. Everything from disposable plates, to disposable razors to even disposable cars (Geo metro). If something does not meet these requirements, it is simply disposed of. Our mates have been added to this list. If they are not convienent, we simply dispose of them.
  • I think people took *worse* on to a whole new level and direction that wasn't considered or accounted for when that phrase was bought about.
