go back to work, and dont rely on others to take care of you. your child is your responsibility no one else's.

I am not a single mother but my boyfriend (the father) does not make much money so we could not depend on just his income. at the VVVVERY end of my maternity leave (i budgeted horribly) i had to borrow $250 for my mother. i absolutely would not recommend this, and i know not every woman has this luxury. but i am a young mom (20 years old) and my mother wanted to see her daughter and granddaughter do well. I paid her back as soon as I got my tax return. I could not agree more with the other people saying go after the father. he has a responsibility too. you should not be the only one scared and not knowing how to do it alone!

I was a single mom and I worked for my money. It wasn't easy, but was better than looking for somone to support me.

Shriners of North America is an international fraternity based on fun, fellowship and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief and truth. There are approximately 375,000 members from 191 temples (chapters) in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Republic of Panama

This is the current explanation of an Ancient club for men that has grown through out the ages into a charity organization to obscure the mystic origin of the group.

In the US we have maternity benefits through six or eight weeks, then unemployment is available. Apply for Aid to Dependant Children if it is there in your area. Now contact the authority to go after the dad to pay the support his is required to submit.
