big ears. the were at right angles to my head. my mother wanted me to get surgery. i found some pictures of my uncle and his dad, my grandfather. they had the same ears i have. i figured if they survived, I would too.

Being nerdy/smart/"teachers' pet" Well, I'm sorry if the teacher happens to like people that pay attention in class and strive to learn things and ask questions. I wasn't a suck-up... I just asked questions and listened to the answers. Sheesh. ^_^

It wasn't a huge problem, but I was one of the first kinds in my elementary school to need glasses... some kids inevitably liked me better when I couldn't see a single thing on the chalkboard! Luckily, it wasn't a huge issue. I just remember the first time I came in with glasses and how incredibly intriguing this was for some.
