  • Stress, heat, and exhaustion due to playing are probably good factors. As well, running involves bouncing up and down, and shaking your head can't help. Also, make sure you're drinking enough water, dehydration can easily cause headaches.
  • You should definitely see a doctor about this. Unless a doctor answers your question here: we aren't doctors, and something like this could be serious.
  • It sounds like your blood pressure, which could be a serious issue. You could be predisposed to having this condition, genetically, and this might explain the headaches linked to over exertion. C a dr.
  • We are NOT doctors, and even though I could GUESS that you might be having high blood pressure spikes, low blood sugar, dehydration, spinal misalignment which is made worse by your jumping and contortions on the basketball floor, or several other things that can cause exercise induced headaches, that would be very unfair to you and irresponsible of me. What you have could be dangerous; and not to scare you, but if left undiagnosed and untreated, even deadly. Every year kids and adults in GOOD apparent shape, die on the field and indoor courts because they had undiagnosed medical problems, or because they did not see the doctor and find out why they were having symptoms. Tell your parents or whoever you need to tell (I can't tell how old you are) that you need to see a doctor, and tell them why. Make an appointment as soon as you can. And I would also stay on the bench until you find out if your headaches are caused by anything serious! Best of luck to you.
  • i m not a doctor, but youre probably dehydrated which is a cause for headaches, so be sure to drink plenty of water before, during, and after any type of exercise, like basketball practice. being hydrated is really important and will help with your headaches. always try water before the tylenol.
  • dehydration is a large factor in headaches for many people. Be sure to have water available to you before, during and after practice and actually drink it!
  • I think finding a doctor would really relate to you.
  • Dehydration was a major problem and I didn't even feel thirsty. Drink pure water only.
  • Well, you ain't gonna like this...but sounds to me like you ought'a quit playing basketball... If ya gotta play a sport, switch to bowling or golf...
