For me to be a supporter of Hillary Clinton I would have to be either drunk, stoned or in chains. So I would say my answer to this Q is: drunkenly, out of my mind or under duress. Of course, I'm not going to feel any better if McCain gets elected, either.

I supported Hillary, but didn't support her just because she was a woman. It is insulting to assume that about most Clinton supporters. Most of us would never consider voting on anything but the issues. The whole point of feminism and equal rights is to put things like gender and race aside. I am horrified to think that Americans would come the conclusion that Sara Palin is the best choice McCain could have made. On paper, she's a C and D student who's never left the country and is so fundamentalist that she believes she can "cure" gay people by praying for them. God Bless America, and save us from ignorance and Idiocracy.

She seems like a bubbly, fun girl, but not President material, in my opinion. Her hubby, Todd, will probably make more decisions than her, and that's even scarier! It's like taking matches away from a child and giving them to an arsonist.

I see it as for what it is. A pathetic attempt to put someone young people, and women, will vote for in a position to draw votes away from his opponent. Too bad she's a corupt fundimentalist crackpot.

A joke.

I have a lot of respect for McCain, but the selection of Palin has made me very frightened of his election. I would not have voted for him, but I would not have been crazed by his election either. Now--I dread his election. She's a nothing. She has the wrong kind of brains for leading a country--she'd be a great cheer-leader or maybe even a CEO of a small company. Or a high-school coach. But President? Are you kidding?

I was not a staunch supporter of Clinton, but I was leaning her way. The selection af Palin seems to be an attempt to pander to those who were excited at the prospect of female President. Anyone who would vote for McCain simply because Palin is his VP is ignorant. Clinton and Palin have little in common besides reproductive organs and I would never cast my vote based on that.

I don't base who I vote for on gender or race, but on issues. I was a Hillary supporter, and I will vote for Obama. I think some folks hoped that those who supported Hillary would support McCain/Palin just because she's a woman. Voting based on race or gender is ridiculous. Because of my political views, I vote Democrat.

desperate and unfortunate.

Nothing to consider is there? REPUBL;ICAN CANDIDATE CHOOSES DEMOCRATIC RUNNING MATE? does not sound likely...
-
He could have made a better pick. I think he only picked her for her looks. Forget brains. I'm more likely to vote for him than Obama though (both choices suck, I would have definately voted for Clinton)

I didn't support Hillary because I'm a libertarian. McCain choice of Palin was a pathetic attempt to grab the female vote and a mistake. 6 years as mayor of a city of <7000 and 2 years as govenor of a state that has a lower population than several of our largest cities does not prepare her to be president which is the number one requirement for being VP. Sad.

Now 3 weeks later, I think its GREAT ! McCain has shot himself in the foot.
