    It's a great song from Gilmour's solo career. I assumed is was about life in general. There's no other, better place instead of life. There are no answers; you have to figure it out on your own. It reminds me of that book title: "No One Here Gets Out Alive".

    sounds like prison to me, of course drug addiction can be a prison as well.
