Well ok, most people are brainwashed at birth, that when we die, our bodies die and that's the end. I can not make you think, that we as a persona survives after death on Earth. If you look at science, it does state that energy created cannot ever stop, it just changes form. So when our body dies, do we, our real selves die too! Thus, can deceased souls haunt the living? I do not really think we will ever know! There are many reported stories/ books on the market of NDE's and internet sites, stating we survive Earthly deaths, BUT do we? For that matter does it matter? When I was 19 y/o, while asleep (?), I saw a tunnel with a pure white light at the end, I entered into it, and at the end of it I saw My Dad, whom had died 5 years earlier. What looked like grass and water looked so bright and colourfull. I went to talk to him, as I wanted to hug him so much, He was sitting on a garden bench and when he saw me he came upto the little bridge seperating us from a litte creek. I so wanted to hug him, but then he warned me, if I crossed what look like a 4 foot bridge, I could not return. He said, don't cross yet, as your Mum needs you now. My mind went haywire, and I did not cross the bridge, waking up in my bed, arms crossed and feet together as if an undertaker had prepared me. Was it a dream? Whom knows, but it cured me of the thought of death as a finale. As to you and your beliefs, say what you do. Let's put it this way, if you belive in an after life or you don't, who cares! We are all going to die, if there is a so called life after, then good, if not, all goes black and we will will never know either, once we take out last Earthly breath.

Depends on what you mean. I certainly believe in life after death, but among the many reasons I have for NOT believing in spiritism--which is the idea that we can communicate with the dead through spirit mediums--is the fact that in all the world's great religions, there are tremendous quotations, statements of principle, creeds, codes of ethics and so forth... but out of the spirit world you get pablum. Pap. Mush. Unflavored gelatin. Not one great thought, saying, statement, ideal, principle, creed, or code has come back from "the other side."

Intelligent people need physical proof or scientific facts to believe in something of that nature. Some people look at the spirit world the same way as Santa Clause. Intelligent people do not believe in him because his existence would be absurd and give rise to an entirely new species of people (elves). Has anyone ever seen the real Santa? No. Have they seen the elves? No. Have they seen him flying his sleigh on Christmas Eve? No. According to believers of him, one should still believe he exists because of faith, even though no scientific facts, or physical proof exists. This is the same as the spiritual world in that people must have faith to believe in those types of things, as any "proof" that exists is only from individual testimonies of seeing ghosts and angels.

I wouldn't believe in anything (of this nature) without witnessing it first hand, I don't think you can convince a skeptic of the paranormal without hard evidence which, as funny as it is, quite hard to come by. I think it all boils down to personal experiences.

I belive there is "something" of a spirit world. I dont belive all the mumbo jumbo that is out there. but i cant not belive that when I talk to my granfather(died 10years ago) he can hear me.. if i need him he would be there for me protecting me.

I don't know if I believe in spirits as such, but I do believe there is more wierd shit going on in the world than we can rationally explain. I have a mental 'weird shit box' to which I consign happenings which I cannot adequately explain but accept for what they are.
