I think there are possibly wormholes in space, but I doubt they would make space travel easier. Most theorized wormholes (at least those that occur naturally, as your question suggested) would be highly unstable, microscopic and mostly unpredictable. Unfortunately, not many of them would look like the Stargate or Farscape.

plus thats bit about radiation killing you and stuff. but theres thats theory which apparently using dark/exotic matter you can prop open a wormhole
