If I really enjoyed the book, then yes I'd like to hear about their inspiration and their life. I want to know where the book comes from.

I have heard an author speak about one of his books. I thought it was interesting to see where his inspiration came from and there is always the opportunity to ask a question.

Sure, I would love to hear what Stephen King has to say about some of his work, that would be great!!!

I would love to hear authors speak of their work. I have been waiting for about two years for George R.R. Martin to finish "A Dance With Dragons," but no hurry, the longer he writes the longer and better the book will be!

Just read. The less you know about someone whose work you may admire, the better it is to not know anything else about them.

There are several fiction authors who I'd be interested in listening to, especially on the topic of character development, including Martha Grimes and P.D. James. I think I'd enjoy hearing a lot of nonfiction authors. The opportunity to ask questions would be wonderful.
