It would be the brazillian. There is no county called brazillia, so I would assume that s/he would be the first to go.

Okay it looks as though this is a little too lateral for everyone. So, here are some questions to think about: Which countries do they come from? How seismically active are they? How would people from these countries react to a preliminary shock? (People from less active countries, as opposed to people who experience them all the time) ...and so, who would most likely be killed when the building collapsed in the big one that came next? Answer: The Japanese is most likely to be killed, because he(or she) is the most likely to stay in the building after the first shock, whereas people from countries that don't have many quakes are more likely to be panicked and vacate the building Australia, Brazil and England are seismically inactive countries compared to Japan which has earthquakes all the time; sometimes two or three a week. (I know I live there) A magnitude 4 earthquake would probably spook most people who weren't used to them, but a Japanese person wouldn't even get out of bed or move from their desk! So, five minutes later, after everyone else has run outside and the big one hits, the Japanese person would be the one who got killed in the collapsing building!

The answer presumes alot. 1) That the Japanese person would not take cover after an earthquake. 2) That the location of the building is in an area with poor construction. 3) Most buildings, highrises, can take the force of an earthquake up to m6. 4) and that the French man hiding on the roof was not trying to kill the Japanese man for stealing so car designs.

i think that it is the japanese person because japan is part of the ring of fire which has a convergent plate boundary which associates with the many earthquakes and violent volcanoe eruptions which the ring of fire has. japan has a ton of earthquakes each year which most of them aren't that bad and they have learned to deal with the smaller earthquakes, and there is like one or two earthquakes every two years or so that cause serious damage. since the japanese guy is probably used to the smaller earthquakes and he probably isn't expecting a building to collaspe during an earthquake because where he's from most earthquakes are mild and he ends up dying because he wasn't taking the earthquake as serious as the other guys. i am no earthquakologist, but that is my best guess as to why the japanese guy died. i am also not positive about anything i said and i could be totally wrong about everything i said.
