Spanking wise... It might mean that they know that they will be more successful if they accpet and always know that there will be consequences for their actions. For failing to choose properly with matters of safety, respect or resonsibility. BDSM wise it just may mean that they are tired of being in control of everything and want or need somone else to take over and make the decisions. Such a person might only be able enjoy erotic play when they can relax and let someone else "plan the vacation and do the driving". I don't believe there is any one template or right answer for everyone. There aren't enough to pidgeon-holes in the world to suit every personality.

Well, coming from a submissive man, it means that pretty much my whole day is filled with being in charge and making decisions... it is a way for me to find release to be dominated by a woman. It doesn't have to be severe, but it's OK if it is... whatever she wants. Does this help?

I agree with a number of the other posters. I am sexually submissive because I am professionally dominant. I spend all day bossing people about, telling people off and being a dominant force in my profession, so it is a way of re-dressing my life balance I guess. I enjoy someone else bossing me about and humiliating me in a way that no one would dare in my professional capacity.
