I am laid off with an unfinfished house. It has already effected me.

The question should be: how HAS the credit crunch affected you? Only the executives in Wall Street and Detroit and the politicians haven't been touched by this madness they have created themselves. The rest of us, the working class have all been screwed in more ways than one. I have lost about $20,000 from my retirement account & my children's college funds, my home has depreciated to probably half of the purchase price, I got a salary cut at work and I face uncertainty every day. I consider myself one of the lucky ones because I haven't lost my job...yet

It will annoy me endlessly with stupid adverts and commercials on television or billboards basically telling me how to live my life

Not at all. No credit cards. i pay cash only. Now that gasoline prices have come down, i am happy.

If you mean affect, well, the same way it will every other working person: possible loss of a job and everything else that comes with it like benefits, reposession of the vehicle, foreclosure of the home, loss of any savings and retirement plan & complete financial ruin

I will not look for a new job (for now). Even though my salary at my current job is not that great, at least I have something to look forward to every two weeks. I'll just concentrate on my graduate studies and on the home-based business that I am putting up.

It hasn't affected me one bit, and I don't think it's affected very many people either. I go out to the stores on the weekends and you are still bumping elbows with people trying to walk around.
