Help answer this question below.

What is the plural form of deer? I thought deer never had an s, but on yahoo literati it accepts as a word. Any one know why?

    The plural of deer is deer. Deers is an error, the result of a misconception.

    Many people think that fishes is the plural of fish. This is incorrect, with each word having a different meaning. Fishes refers to multiple species of fish. So if there are many individuals of one species the plural is just fish. As soon as you add other species you have a group of fishes.

    People have tried to apply this rule to deer, but it is not correct. Deers is not a word.

    It's just deer, no 's'. Deer is singular and plural
