No. A club is not a dogmatic organization. One can be entitled to have different views, and clubs can encourage interesting discussions. Free thinking could still be preserved. It only becomes an oxymoron if there is a code of behavior or a set of believes involved.

No. Members of a club can still be independent thinkers.
