Well in rare occasions the pill really messes the body up for years - yes years - after being on it. There are other hormone treatments that can offset this problem, some are going too prevent pregnancy, while others will increase your chance - these are amongst the class of drugs used as 'fertility drugs'. I would strongly suggest that you keep a log of your menstruation, including not just the time/date it starts, but also log how long, how heavy a flow, how bad the cramps were, etc. Since you have been off the pill for a year you will want to dig back in your memory and fill in the same data as best as you can. Take that log with you to a doctor and work with him/her in figuring out the best method to get you where you want to be. S/he will want to try different things - continue to keep your log, including in it what you are using/doing to reset your cycle. All of that information will come in handy. On the off chance that you are one of the rarer women out there, you might have to solve the problem through a fertility clinic or wait 2-3 years. Going to a doctor will let you know sooner if these are things you must consider. BTW it is not too uncommon for women to have an irregular cycle 1 to 1 1/2 year after the pill - after 2 years you are in the rarer groups.

Try to relax since ur usually irregular it's probably later than late. It's also possible to have an antiovulatory mo.& skip the whole mo.& this is still ok.I have a friend who's so irregular she can skip months at a time but she is still the mother of 4.
