Slapping your child is NEVER the answer! When you get aggressive with an aggressive child it just blows everything out of proportion. There is a reason why your son is acting that way. Find out what the cause is and fix it. Do not slap your child!

I am a child that gets slapped by my mother. In fact, today she slapped me because I would not get outof the shower fast enough and let me just say, slapping your child is WRONG! When you slap a child, in the eyes of a child, it only gets worse... they feel unsafe and scared and want to even sometimes, run away. It breaks the passage of a relationship and creates a wall.

I think there are kids out there that really NEED to be slapped. If your child is bullying you, I think you did the right thing. YOU are the parent, and you need to make sure they know that. It's much better for them in the long run. No discipline can lead someone to become a VERY bad person later in life, i.e. selfish, annoying, etc.

Slapping a childs face is perpetuating violence .He obviously thinks it is ok to hit out if he is angry. In many places it is certainly illegal.
