All religions do not depend on divine revelation. Most religions are human beings reaching out for God. Judaism and Christianity do depend on divine revelation. Judaism and Christianity are God reaching out for humanity and our response. With love in Christ.

Real religion starts and ends with Divine revelation. Reading books and saying prayers is not the real deal. So you hit the nail right on the head. The real thing depends on divine revelation and a direct experience of God. How to get that direct experience? That is explained here: http://gospelenigma.com

Depends on what your religion is. If it is power or sport or money, then there is no divine revelation, just self-centredness. But when God reaches down, then lives change and they look outwards not inside for the answers.

I think the word 'religion' comes from the Latin 're legio' meaning to reconnect with one's source, one's creator, or the Divine. For how to achieve this reconnection we need to look into Divine revelation. The revelation must: > state that it is from the Divine, and contain indications that it can't be from other than the Divine > define the Divine. > give a sense of spiritual reconnection to the Divine. > be inerrant. All information it contains about past, present and future must not be proven untrue. > define who it applies to and the time period of its application. > contain guidance that is in the long term interest of its audience. > not be irrational. > not be self contradictory or inonsistent
