  • I just go when I'm sick generally, I hate going to the doctor, and avoid it at all costs. Plus, I know quite a few doctors, so I don't see the point of going somewhere to see a doctor when I could just talk with some one I know.
  • I don't go to the doctors unless I am dragged there. Only if I am very, very ill. I have been in A&E more than a doctors office
  • I go when I am sure what I have is not getting better and I might needs antibiotics or something I can't prescribe for myself. After all, I can't do a CBC myself, to see if I have a bacterial or viral infection. So unless I want to stay sick or get worse, I go find out what's going on. Perhaps that's why I have never had a bad cold or sinus infection turn into bronchitis or worse, pneumonia. I take pills to kill it before it gets that bad. Also, at age 57, I go for screenings and an annual physical. I actually see the doctor more than some, but I have a couple of chronic problems, so it is necessary. He is also a friend and my doctor of 21 years, so going is also a social event (I don't ever go just for that!) since he is so busy otherwise with his family when he is not working.
  • I have to be dying before I go to my doctor. However, I do get a Mammogram and Pap every year for preventive measures.
  • Hmmm... interesting question. I have regularly scheduled appointments every 6 months.
  • I go every 3 months to family doctor and twice a year for female exams.
  • I go once a year. If problem occurs I go to the doctor AT ONCE. It's not healthy to wait for some problem to occur before seeing a doctor. As what the old saying goes...... An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.
  • I have a physical exam every year. They check hearing, eyesight, bp, weight, cardio, blood, urine, chest x-ray, and stomach cancer check. There are also optional checks in case there is something of concern.
  • I have a physical every year. I'm on Lipitor for Cholestrol and need to get refill every year and they always want me to come in.
  • The last time I had a physical checkup was when I applied for my current job, and that was five and a half years ago!
  • I put them off and I think most of us probably don't get them regularly. Once you have a serious medical condition, we start getting them regularly (this has been my experience amongst friends).
