What do people think of McCain's choice for VP after finding out her 17 year old daughter is pregnant? To me, it just confirms the absence of morals I was pretty sure existed throughout the republican party.

She is not the one pregnant out of wedlock nor is her daughter running for VP. I say good job standing by your family. I like her better because of it.

First of all, she's an excellent choice for VEEP! I had never heard of her until she was announced and now I can't get enough of her. She's fascinating, wise, smart and a go-getter! Read up and I'm sure you will agree. Secondly, Bristol's situation is much like many in America. My own Father-in-Law is a Pastor and two of his daughters had babies as teens. It's not an ideal situation for anyone involved, but good for her for loving unconditially and standing up for her daughter. Even Christians and yes, Republicans and Democats are human and make mistakes. This shows a tenacity and maturity that many in the public eye don't exhibit these days. And that darling grandbaby will be welcomed into this world like all babies in our country SHOULD be!! GO SARAH PALIN!!!!!!!!!!

Just a short answer. The choice for VP is the mother not the daughter. What mother and father has lots of control over a 17 year old? These things happen in all families of all politics and religious. Republicans are people too just like Democrats, Green Party folks and Independents.

It makes absolutely not difference. Children are OFF LIMITS to political mudslinging. And you obviously know NOTHING about human nature if you believe any parent can keep their kids from having sex. It happens to every part of the political spectrum. Republican, Democrat, Independent or something else, people are people. Judge Sarah Palin on her politics, not her family.
