KFC uses specific chicken breeds that have bred for large breasts. Pilgrim's Pride is the main KFC chicken supplier. Personally, I've found KFC pieces to be rather small. Church's Chicken and Golden Chick seem to be bigger, at least in my neck of the woods.

I find them pretty puny compared to the ones I can buy at our local butchers - those are often over a pound each in weight.
