  • She gave several folks a reason to vote for McCain.
  • If by anyone you include evangelicals, yes. Otherwise, the independents who were polled were very unimpressed. http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Detroit_Press_Independant_Voters_Hated_Palin_s_Speech
  • Gov. Palin has not impressed me or made me change my mind. If Senator McCain does not survive as president you can be sure that somehow Gov. Palin will end up being the President of the United States. If he does survive he will not be allowed to do any different than what is in the party lines, that is why Gov. Palin is his running mate, she will make sure he does nothing against what has been planed.
  • Palin's conservative record has helped unify conservative voters in the Republican party who otherwise would never vote for McCain (based on his liberal leanings). Palin is also likely to capture a significant percentage of Clinton supporters who felt abandoned when Obama took the nomination.
  • With great regret, I think the answer has to be yes. I think that the kind of talk suggesting that she is "one of the people" has encouraged people to support for her. But the fact remains that the country has to deal with difficult issues that she knows nothing about. We need change -- in particular, we need a change from unqualified governors who believe that they are capable of making decisions about foreign policy. Isn't eight years enough?
  • If anything she has made people consider voting for the Barack/Biden ticket. I mean this lady doesn't have a clue and I don't know how McCain can look himself in the mirror after making a choice like this. Just the stress of trying to keep tabs on her or keep her mouth shut could cause the man more medical problems. And at his age he doesn't need the stress. But,I have a feeling if McCain does win the Presidency it would be in his best interest to keep a close watch over Palin because she has an agenda and she'll do whatever it takes to gain power.
