I'm no connoisseur but I have had some expensive wines that my friends would rave about that tasted like vinegar and I have had some inexpensive wines that tasted great it's all in the flavors, banquet and bouquet of the wine not the price so I would have to answer no, how the grapes are grown and the juices aged under and under what certain conditions makes for a good wine not the price .. ~Nemo~

Yes. There are only a few labels in the $10 range that could challenge a $100 bottle.

Definately, there's a huge difference in that price range. When you go up a bit though, say 30-40, it's much harder.
