How would you react if you found white-out areas in your spouse's check book? Would you assume he or she was hiding money or worse, cheating?

    I always make mistakes when I'm writing things... so I'd just assume he did the same. I don't feel I have anything to worry about.

    If you don't trust him/her, maybe you shouldn't be with him/her!

    I would just ask them about it if it was a joint account. If it was their personal account, I would not be snooping in their checkbook in the first place, unless I also was given permission to use it.
