We had to stop the car, put the high beams on for other people and wait it out. The car had a couple super small dings in it from lord knows what.

I'm from West Texas. We know better than to get out there in a sand storm. The worst part about a sandstorm is the wind. Ever tried driving in 65mph wind? The answer is no!

I live in Nevada.... the wind here is like no place else.... We can get sand storms with no visibility!!!! You go through windshields like it is noting!!! Let me put it this way... I just got a new windshield a year ago... I can hardly see through it when the sun is shining on it!!!

Nope

Yes, one just has to pull over, hopefully near an overpass. and wait it out. the sand pits the glass windshield.

Actually I was the gunner in the lead Humvee in a convoy in Iraq. We could barely see in front of us. It was the coolest feeling. We had to slow way down but we were on a very straight stretch of highway so the driving wasn't bad. We reached our destination. Mission accomplished.

Yes, unfortunately. But we managed to get some shelter under an overpass and just waited it out.

Not really. You pull-off of the road, leave your parking lights on and hope somebody doesn't hit you where you parked.
-
Yeah, shut the ventilation, and hoped the air filter didnt get too jacked
