  • Whatever remains in the memory banks of AB will come up..I don't think they ever "retire" anything. Duplicate questions are a fact of life here.. original, unique, one-of-a-kind creative questions are rare. Getting bent out of shape because of duplicates is silly. We've all been guilty of it at one time or another..mostly it's coincidental..sometimes it's purposeful. No big deal! :)
  • Questions never expire.
  • No, questions never get to old, it is considered a duplicate.
  • There is no expiration date for questions. Best thing to do in the case you describe is to revive the old question with an answer of your own and then new answers will usually come in after that. This way, all of the answers to the same question are in one place.
  • On the login page there is a question in yellow "What is answerbag? This is what is posted below it: "Ask questions and share your knowledge with the world here on Answerbag. Get the best answers where there are no duplicate questions and questions are always open - our community of over 517,000 will find your answer!" Questions never expire here so if your question is a duplicate of an original asked in say 2005 technically it can still be marked as a duplicate:)
