  • There is no way to hide this unless you are not going to see your parents for several days. Icing the tongue will help somewhat with swelling but it really swells! Also, you have to adjust to talking with something in your mouth and will have somewhat of a lisp for at least the first few days.
  • Many have tried to hide tongue piercing from their parents and unless your parents never speak to you and/or you never speak to your parents, you're going to get caught. It all matters on how badly "they would kill you". A tongue piercing is not the type of piercing you can put in and out during the day.
  • If you're trying to hide the piercing from your parents, good luck. They will eventually find out. I hid mine for a while and so did my friend, but both our parents find out... and once its done, its done :) To ease the swelling suck on ice, or drink cold drinks a lot. Another thing that I found helped a lot was taking Midol.... you know... the PMS pill... Ya, I'm a guy and I took it and it worked great. The first time I had my tongue pierced I didnt think about taking midol, but it really helps to reduce the swelling! Good luck
  • I personally would wait until you are 18. But I would ask your parents and talk to them about it. Because ther no way to hide it. One my cousin got one and when her daddy found out well just say it wasnt happy and she had take it out and he destroyed it . He said had she asked him he probadly would have let get it. So ask your parents and talk to them you never they just might say yes if not wait until you are 18.
