  • I don’t know, since I didn’t hear Obama’s speech and have no intention of listening to McCain‘s. I’m politically independent and don’t like either one of them, but I’ve already made my decision, and one or both of them would have to make some pretty big changes in their views to make me change my mind.
  • I was absolutely stunned by the oratory given by Obama today. He challenged America to define what IT itself really means! It was phenomenal! And up against his charisma, McCain probably would have to rely on his experiences in order to challenge Obama.
  • John McCain isn't as good of a speaker as Obama. I don't think his speech will come off as well. (this isn't an endorsement of Obama's politics)
  • I just watched it. And to ME i don't think McCain could because he cant empathize with me like Obama can, being from a lower class family all my life, and my dad working factory jobs to support me and my 4 siblings... I feel rather silly sitting in my living room, crying at Obama's speech, but he REALLY moved me...
  • I think that is debatable, though eloquence is not as important as content, in my opinion. I know that John Mccain may not have the eloquence of Barack Obama. However, he needs not to have that. Obama left a good many stone unturned, for his speech was truly offensive, showing not one of the weaknesses of his speech or his potential presidency. Mccain will shine some much needed light on that . . .
  • whatever one wants to say/think about either canidate, Obama is a MUCH better speaker than McCain. Obama might be the best speaker in American political history. That doesn't make him smarter, or that he will be a better president, simply that he is a better speaker. McCain might be able to make a good speach, but it will not be able to hold a flame to Barack's. Obama could read the phone book and make is sound good.
  • Honestly, I dont know. Chances are he can...and probably will. But the enthusiasm and cult following probably wont be there. He'll have alot to go up against (Obama had celebrities and a little mini-concert going on as well as an amazing speach). Even though I'm not as big of a fan of McCain's but I think his will be good enough yhe only thing that could make his exceptance speach go down hill is staying on his "I'm a war vet..." thing for too long.
  • I dont think it will be as great of a speech as Obamas. However, I hope the voters listen to what each candidate says, instead of already making up their minds without hearing any content. I think Obama is right on alot of policies, and I hope that people will listen to both sides before making up their minds.
