  • You did tell the doctor you wanted to get pregnant - right? Pill form contraceptives are usually prescribed to women to regulate their cycle - of course if the doctor thought you only needed your cycle put on track, not knowing you wanted to be pregnant s/he might have given you a contraceptive. Other than drug therapies... Well there is a lot of 'depends on...' in this. Depends on how viable your eggs are, depends on the health of the sperm of the male, depends on your over all general health, depends on.... Its been a year with no luck, now its time to go back to the doctor and have other treatment options suggested or get referred to a fertility clinic which specialized in couple's fertility - meaning BOTH wanna be parents should be there. Its not too uncommon for both individuals in the wanna be a parent department to have minor fertility issues. Males are prone to low sperm counts and low mobility of the sperm cells, from diet to wearing to hot of clothing and needing to cool off his testes. Further the cause of your untimely menstruation needs to be figured out and if possible treated. Fertility studies include taking samples and lots and lots of tests. There is a high success rate of treatment for couples - but the catch is that since no two people are exactly the same several methods may have to be tried before finding the right method or combination of treatments that will work.
