  • I have a lot of experinence in managing engineering work, people, ... I have not seen many engineers who really benefit from an MBA, unless they really want to be in sales or such rather than engineering per se. A few select classes in Finace and Accounting would be valuable and that's all that is really needed for most purposes. Six Sigma is pretty abstract and most people don't understand and don't have the time/energy to do so. You should focus on more fundamental things that are in high demand. Get an MS in Engineering (I leared a great deal doing an MS in ChemE; not so much on PhD which was mostly research), or take classes in specialty subjects. Don't waste your time learning a bunch of stuff that is not in large demand; stuff few people are willing to pay for.
