  • Yes. Most of the time they're calls from potential employers.
  • 99.9% of the time it means is my grandma, who is super secretive and worried about her phone being tapped/general crazy stuff. anyways, if its her, to be honest, i usually dont pick up. sorry granny :-/
  • Nope. Private or unavailable gets an automatic ignore from me. If they want to contact me bad enough, they can leave a message.
  • No. They're 100% telemarketers. For the same reason, I never answer any call that originates outside my area code.
  • yeah i have one friend that shows up restricted so i answer
  • I usually do. I have friends who have private numbers and I have never gotten a telemarketer on my cell phone. From what I understand, it is illegal for the to call cell phone numbers unless it has been used to register for something and they are from that company or company's branch.
  • Yes. I wanna know who the hell is calling me and why. I also answer the door, even if I don't recognize the person. I want them to know I'm home and I want to know what was so important that they had to knock on my door.
  • No! And I don't answer numbers that aren't in my contacts either.
  • Never ! If I don't know who the caller is, I don't answer, Same with my home phone. If it's important, they can leave a message!
  • nope. i sometimes use the FU button when i do know the #. lol!
  • When i first got my mobile, i answered all calls whether i recognized them or not, but realised private numbers are usually wrong numbers or mobile companies hence i tend not to answer them anymore. However, i have noticed (and esp. with moblie companies) will continue to call until you eventually pick up - they are so annoying. They won't leave a message. Its almost like they won't give up until they hear someone's voice, what a pain. So, even though i don't wish to answer it, i end up having to just to stop them ringing me again!!!
  • Rarely. I like letting them go to VM so they can tell me what they want, and I can have some time to formulate a good excuse (if necessary) as to why I cannot provide for them.
  • Not usually no, but I definately do not answer to number witheld calls.
  • Never. If you can't tell me who you are, we shouldn't be talking.
  • Ooooo you can do that? Not just family and friends? Wow, real live "private" numbers even..hm...ok, why not, i'll give it a try. Tanks.
  • No, when I have, it has been someone I don't want to talk to. :(
  • Unless the number is in my phonebook, the call goes straight to voicemail. Makes life much simpler that way.
  • Not any more. I did once and it was some guy looking for his girlfriend. I told him he had the wrong number. He hung up and called back to dispute with me whether or not his girlfriend was , in fact, with me. She wasn't. I didn't know him or her. Ever gotten a wrong number text? I have. People are actually a measure politer about that than they are about actual wrong number phone calls.
  • I answer. I don't give out my number to anyone I don't want it give to and say so to others. If they're calling me, it's probably someone I want calling me.
