Can doubles partners communicate--not shout--between themselves during the course of play?

To my knowledge there isn't a specific "rule" that covers this, but normal "ethics" says that you can communicate verbally with your partner while the ball is on your side of the court. Hope this helps. Aussiedaz - Tennis Pro

You can communicate verbally during and between points. You often hear players shout YOURS or MINE during a rally.
