Guanajuato City is the capitol city of the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. It is one of the most toured cities in Mexico, noted early for its silver mines, which are still productive,...and as the birthplace of former Presidente, Vincente Fox. From a word of the local Indians meaning , "city of the frogs". Locals are still called "froggies" by other Mexicans, but not necessarily in a derogatory manner.
