The reason for the two questions in one ... is for the point of comparison only. As Scientology is also a relatively new addition to our society ... are all people expected to accept its addition and belief without question or hesitation? ... Or will they too be labelled as anti-church or simillar?:) No offense intended ... I am trying to bring understanding to others ... is all. Thankyou Be positive

Wow... okay... Homophobia, as eymologically nonsensical as it is... is a contraction of "homosexuality" and the suffix, "phobia." (Fear.) If you broke the word down from a raw perspective, you might come under the impression that it is a fear of people just like you. ("Homo-" meaning "same.") All the same, homophobia, in too many cases, ends up being a blanket term for all people who disagree with the concept of alternative sexuality and lifetyles. True homophobia is an unreasonable fear of people with a homo/bi- sexual orientation. The fact that a belief system or accepted social norm is new does not make it correct. At one point, the idea that sleeping with a virgin would cure AIDS was new to African culture. Now, with improved education and information, the fallacy (not to mention appaling consequences) of this belief is becoming understood. At one point, the conept of a flat earth was new and widely accepted - and still false.
