Some may do this, but it can be expensive and also it is something I would doubt most of the "professionals do." They probably practice safe sex (as safe as it can be that is, given their profession). If you are thinking about being with anyone you do not know or someone you just met as a sexual partner, I would advise you to never assume ANYTHING, and take appropriate precautions regarding safe sex. That's also just a good rule of thumb, unless you are in a monogamous relationship and you both have not been sexually active with anyone else for a long time.

I think testing is required in Nevada, because prostitution is legal, but I haven't heard that it is required any place else.
