  • Hmm I don't think you can in English but I'd bet my bottom dollar that you can do it in German. Those Germans have a word for everything. We have the words, sunset and dusk, but they have a word meaning "the moment when the sun hits the horizon and the sky turns grey". If anyone has a word for what you're talking about, its the Germans. We English speakers just aren't that descriptive!
  • After reviewing several definitions and synonyms, I suggest "impatience" (im-patient's?)may be closer to that feeling in the doctor's waiting area, or possibly "restlessness". Long term boredom might be characterized as "lassitude", "doldrums", "tedium". "Tedium" means monotony, dullness, sameness, and that may be the best fit.

  • In English, not really. In Spanish, I would argue that the SER/ESTAR differentiation would help out in this area. ;)
