  • Definitely NATURE.
  • I don't agree that it is man's 'nature' to want war. I believe that we are all spiritual beings really, and are having a 'human' experience, that we refer to as 'life'. I believe that we all have more good in us than evil, and that we were meant to live in peace and harmony. But, I also believe that human greed has been our undoing. War brings huge profits to some people. For example, the government reaps large profits from war. As do the bankers who fund wars. We live in a very corrupt and hurtful world, and I can only hope that we all realize that this life is just a fleeting moment, or experience, of who we really are. Our true inner selves are pure energy, spirits if you will, who have far greater destinies than this world.
  • I don't think it is in man's nature at all. I was only thinking today that the elements that bring about war tend to be the most stupid and immature characteristics of people. Pride, acquisitiveness, etc. Perhaps it is that our political leaders are more stupid and immature than the rest of us. Or possibly that stupidity and immaturity are more endemic than I had supposed.
  • The behavior of mankind, based on historical evidence, is to be warlike. As far as the age old question about so many behavioral topics, is it nature or is it nurture, I will tell you. It is both. Nature, particularly genetics, sets the range within which our biology can operate. Nurture, that is to say cumulative experience, sets the point within that range at which we function.
  • Definately nature! Testerone is a naturally occuring part of the human body. It controls many aspects of the body and mind mostly aggresiveness. It is most prominent n men. So this is how we were created, this is how we are. It is are nature 2 compete, it is n are nature 2 war
  • It is pride and envy. That is part of man's makeup. You can call it nature if you want. It consists of faults with which we are born and can be taught to curb (minimize). However, they are not curbed or minimized by all people. Therefore, we have war. It could be avoided!!!!!!!!!!! The (nature) make up to go to war is inborn. Watch a small child. They are very possessive, self serving and insensitive. Nurture, teaching and education and the treatment of parents and others around them teaches them to be tolerant, sensitive to the needs of others and giving. Mankind has failed to teach their children and it won't get any better.
  • For some reason,I can't post in the comment section anymore.Sorry if I misunderstood you rollie, but I guess I just don't get what you mean by 'we' the government. From what I can see,the government does not represent us,the people. They have their own agenda. And they love war, because they profit from war. They sell arms to the allies for huge profit. When they went bankrupt from funding their war under Roosevelt though, they borrowed from the Federal Reserve.Hence the huge National Debt.Did you know that over 40% of the National Debt is owed to the Federal Reserve?Did you know that the Federal Reserve is a private corporation that is anything but 'Federal'?Did you know that the government gave up a lot of it's power when it gave the Federal Reserve the right to print the country's money? After all, whoever prints the money has all the power, right?Every penny of our Income Tax goes strictly toward paying the interest alone on that debt. The private bankers who fund wars make huger than huge profits.I apologize for misunderstanding anything though,I am just so passionate about the subject of war.I detest war,and cannot see any good from it except for those who profit from it.
  • It is in the nature of all male vertibrates to compete and when necessary fight for feeding and breeding rights (i.e. women). Among groups of social mammals, this often translates into inter-group conflict (and carnage) when resources are insufficient for both groups. Even chimp troops wage war against each other.
