Ask me again after December 21, 2012. For the size the population has a lot of room to grow. However if we all don't take better of our Earth it will fail to support us at some point.

the human population is 6.7 billion at the moment. on its current growth trajectory, it's expected to reach nearly 9 billion by the year 2042. i think the trajectory will decrease due to the future of the economy, global warming and standard of living. i personally think the world is already over-populated but it will rise because third world countries dont have contraception. so if i was to hazard a guess i'd say the earth will see 7.5 billion humans.
