Personally, I don't like it. Certain people (such as family or close friends) I have no problem with, but with people I don't know so well it can make me feel uncomfortable.

It really depends on the person's demeanor. Some people are just "touchy" and it is part of their communication style, a way to make a connection to another person. Other people use it to intimidate you or demonstrate power. I see it akin to people who call you by a nickname right after being introduced and never asking you if like being called by that name.

Sometimes they are creepy, but most times they are really sweet and make you feel special.

They are invading my personal space and I avoid them like the plague.

Like some others have mentioned it depends on who it is, and what the situation is. EX: If we're talking and the wind takes my hair into my face, I'm clutching a giant cake; feel free to move the hair out of my face. It would be rude to not see you, yet be expected to talk to you.You don't want me to drop the cake, do you?
