When my son passed away, and I had to write his obit for the newspaper, something just came into my mind as we left the house to go to the funeral home. He had always been very close to his two younger brothers, and two younger step-brothers - more of a friend than an 'oldest brother'. At the same time, his friends all said that he had often told them that he loved them as a 'brother'. So, in his obit, and on his Memorial Tile on the Wall of Hope at the hospital where I work, I put this: "A FRIEND TO ALL BROTHERS AND A BROTHER TO ALL FRIENDS" His brothers and his friends still remember that today, and it brings them comfort. Though I have no idea of why it would have popped into my mind that day. I was not even able to think properly, let alone think of that!
