  • How far a soldier can see is already a variable. The horizon is only about 3 statute miles (depending on altitude) away but you can see further (naked eye I'm assuming, not radar or remote cameras) if it is up in the air. There are many guns (sniper rifles for instance) that can shoot further than 1 mile. But you need bigass gattling guns, rockets, and cruise missiles to go further.
