My husband is in the Air Force, ( you know the smartest branch of the military) =) I have been pleasantly surprised by the show. It's way better than most of the military shows like JAG, and The Unit. I wanted to throw up and break my TV when I watched the Unit. Losers! Sometimes I can't watch it, it has a way of reminding me of things I don't want to think about. I always feel unsettled after watching it. But, I don't feel like it's fake, or overdone. I'm trying to like it. Military bases shows have a hard road ahead of them. It's a diverse and very sensitive and passionate group of people that they are trying to portray, and they usually stick to cliché’s and do not do enough research before filming. Civilians want to know what it's like to be in the military... a TV show can't eveb begin to explain that to them.

I've watched several episodes after my boyfriend got so terribly excited about it. (He loves military related things.) I think it's a cute show and isn't like some soap type shows that make me gag at all the corniness.
