  • I'll hazard a guess here and say you mean under the foreskin and that being in hospital for a month meant you spent a good deal of that time in bed, perhaps even not showering but getting sponge baths. If so it could be a build up of smegma (shed skin, oils, a touch of urine, mixed with bacteria usually results in a tissue paper like substance as well as an odor), or it could be an infection. If you were bed bound they most likely had you on a catheter - If so this would have made cleaning under the foreskin even more difficult. healthy males with foreskin pretty much shower on a daily basis thus usually do not get smegma to bad or even at all. when a health issue comes up that results in less bathing smegma develops and can be a matter of concern for the guy who up to then did not have any problems. If bathing/showering doesn't help, then I would suggest telling your doctor. If you are on medications it is possible that one or more of them are causing you problems.
