i used to get those people to people invitations but i was told it was a scam cuz they wanted like 5k from me
-
between 3.5 and 5.5 K its not a scam, the trips are so expencive because they cover travel, food, and hotels/homestays

More than $5K. People to People was not founded by President Eisenhower. Student Ambassadors is a for profit traded as EPAX (Ambassadors Group Int'l). They send these letters out making you think your special and will get all of this exclusive stuff but it's just a tour, an expensive tour. And not so safe either. A kid died in Japan in 2007 and another girl filed a lawsuit because she starved from bad food.

hi, my 15 year old son just return from australia with the people to people group. At the time of his departure he was 14 yrs old. He went for 20 days with a group of 35 kids. The trip cost 7100.00 and he ended up raising 11,500.00. So, he had spending monies, clothes, all expenses that he needed. He went out and was focused and spoke with a lot of people and sent out a lot of letters and it all came in place..he met new friends who he keep in contact with. Nothing negative happened on the trip, they had 4 leaders to go with them. And, now he is preparing to go on the europeon explorer in june of 2009. i strongly recommend this program. jackie

I love this program. I went to England and France last year. I would go again in a heart beat. Don't pass this up! It was Founded by President Eisenhower, we all did research on it. Also it is amazing. I love the program so much, I am going again this summer with the same program to Australia. IT IS A SAFE PROGRAM. The food was great, the girl can't say she was starved because she didn't like the food, it is another culture and the food is different, that is a big part of the trip. Also the leaders take safety very importantly. One girl got a eye infection, they took her to the hospital right away. A boy cut his foot really badly at the United Kingdom Sailing Academy, they took him to the emergency room for stitches. If anyone got sick, the got them medicine making sure it was alright for them to take it. The program is a great program, I wish I could go back to England and France with the same people again, who I now consider my family. I also got to do stuff no one else would get to do, like stay overnight at Warwick Castle, or go to the UKSA, or have a homestay! It is expensive. England and France is $6,500, it pays for everything except souvenirs. I know for Australia for 20 is 6,500 also. It is easy to raise the money. I raised 3,000. Some people raise every cent. I have a website: http://www.freewebs.com/p2p4life it is about my trip to France, I do have a questions and answer page. I have a lot of information about the program on it. Also you can go on studentambassadors.org for more information. If you want to find more people who have traveled on this program of find more websites that people have made, you can go on the Alumni website which is welcome to new student ambassadors, I used it for my first trip, it was so helpful, you don't have to be an alumni to join: http://www.peopletopeoplealumni.com/community/home.php
